About

My name is Morgan Herbison and I am a teacher in Saskatchewan, Canada.  I am a primary teacher and graduated from the University of Regina with my B.A. in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood Education.  I am also currently working on a Masters in Education in the area of Curriculum and Instruction.  I’m curious about how kids’ relationships to the  natural world help shape their understandings and life experiences.

I absolutely love working with children and helping them to discover the amazing things about our world.  In our classroom community, the most important thing is respect for one another.  I encourage students to see and appreciate the wonderful and unique things about one another as we grow together as learners and friends.

I want to make sure that everyone in our community including students, teachers, and families, has a voice.  Using technologies such as this blog is one way I believe we can share our voices with one another and stay connected.  This year I’ll be using Twitteralongside students to connect with parents, other teachers, and other students.  Follow @HerbiesClass for classroom updates, pictures, and student tweets.  Check in with our class on this website to read the weekly student guest blog, get access to our classroom calendars and newsletters, and stay in the loop with photos and videos of our projects this year.

In addition to teaching, I also love music, reading, and spending as much time outside in nature as I can.

If you would like to contact me, please find contact information use the Contact page under “Class Info” at the top of the screen.
